Hello everyone, just wanted to let everybody know that Tom had to have urgent back surgery on Monday. He is home now and he is doing well other than not listening to what his surgeon has told him. He will need to take off from work for 6-8 weeks, although Tom says 2 weeks (I don't think so!) If anyone happens to talk to him, remind him to take it easy. I caught him chopping wood when we got home from the hospital yesterday, I could have killed him! He is really going to have to take it easy for several months to get strong and healthy again. Hope all is well with everyone, we love you all.

What! How did this happen? I have never heard of emergency back surgery. Tell him to take it easy! It's not worth rushing the recovery if in the long run it could make him worse. Tell him we love him very much!

He had been experiencing numbness/ severe pain down his leg last week. He had an MRI and the neurologist called and told him he needed surgery right away to avoid permanent damage. So in he went on Monday morning. Poor Tom
